The future of literature is inextricably dependent on the future of man. There can be no compromise. As Solzhenitsyn once so tellingly wrote:
Literature that is not the breath of contemporary society, that dares not transmit the pains and fears of that society, that dares not warn in time against threatening moral and social dangers [...]
