Here are some of my favorites: LOCAL — Watch Your English (PROSEC, 2007) and Write Right (2003) by Rodolfo “Dups” Delos Reyes (all of Dr. Dups’ books are must-haves for college students and professionals; sprinkles humor to a usually boring subject hehe); Seven Rules for Writers (Tahanan, 1996) by Joseph V. Landy; FOREIGN — Wordsmith: A Guide to Paragraphs and Short Essays (Pearson Prentice Hall, 2007) by Pamela Arlov; The Dictionary of Concise Writing (Marion St. Press, Inc., 2006) and The Dimwit’s Dictionary (2006) by Robert Hartwell Fiske; Punctuation for Writers and Writing Realistic Dialogue (Central Avenue Press, 2004) & Flash Fiction (2003) by Harvey Stanbrough. I think most of these are available @ National Bookstore. G’day!
